OBITUARY Douglas L Alexander May 6, 1949 – October 4, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Douglas L. Alexander, 69, of Wilson passed away Thursday. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2018, at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, Wilson, NC. Rev. Rusty Russell will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday, immediately following the service, at the funeral home located at 2704 Nash St. N, Wilson, NC. Douglas graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest with a Master of Divinity Degree. He was a member of Peace Church, Wilson, NC. Surviving are his wife, Jo Ann Alexander; one son, Joshua Alexander of Wilson; one brother, Bob Alexander (Anita) of Albany, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis Shirley Alexander Jr. and Betty Lou Dodd Alexander, and one brother, Donald Alexander. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Peace Church Missions Fund, 2838 Tilghman Rd., Wilson, NC 27896. Services are under the direction of Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, Wilson, NC.
