OBITUARY Dorothy Inez Hathaway November 13, 1938 – October 27, 2018 Dorothy Inez Hathaway, 79, of Fort Smith passed from this life Saturday October 27, 2018 in Fort Smith. She was born November 13, 1938, in Little Rock, to the late Walter and Bertha Sorrels Talbert. Dorothy retired from the Boy Scouts of America after 26 years of service as Office Manager. She was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church for 50 years where she served in the Children’s ministry, the Music ministry and was a member of the WMU. Dorothy is survived by two sons and their wives, Steven and Zoe Hathaway and Scott and Shelia Hathaway, all of Fort Smith; her grandchildren, Bradley Hathaway of Nashville, Tennessee, Korey Hathaway of Alma, Kara and Kaitlyn Hathaway, Brittney Skurdahl all of Fort Smith and Ashley Meinert of Mulberry. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Edward and Lawrence Talbert, as well as her sister, Melvadeen Friday. Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday November 1, 2018 at Grand Avenue Baptist Church, with burial following at Oak Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm Wednesday October 31, 2018 at Edwards Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction Edwards Funeral Home.
