Obituary for Ms. Conswaylen “Dee” (Owens) Schraeder Conswaylen “Dee” Schraeder, 40, of Peoria, IL passed away at 7:46 pm on Friday, October 12, 2018 at OSF ST. Francis Medical Center surrounded by her family. Dee as she was affectionately called, was born on April 7, 1978 in Peoria to Mary Jane (Hicks) and Charlie Owens, Jr. She was a1995 graduate of Woodruff High School where she excelled academically. She attended Illinois Central College where she studied paralegal. Dee last worked as a beauty consultant at Maxie Beauty Supply Store. Dee was a sweet soul who always wore a smile, but don’t be mistaken, she was always the boss and in control. Dee completely loved her family and was always there to help them in any way she could. Dee was very stylish. Her sense of style was showcased in the clothes and jewelry she created and wore. Dee leaves to cherish her most precious memories her loving and devoted family; four brothers, Michael (Teresa) Hicks of Jackson, MS, Delvin (Niecy) Owens, Charles Owens and her caregiver, Christopher Owens all of Peoria; her sister, Charita (Isaac) Clark of Peoria; her god Brother, Markus Kilgore of Peoria; her mother-in-law, Deborah Schraeder and sisters-in-law, Lori Schraeder and Jennifer Schraeder; a host of nieces and nephews grand and great, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her maternal and paternal grandmothers, Letha Mae Timmes and Gertrude Hankton. Memorial services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at The Church of the Living God, Temple 5 with a visitation beginning at 10:30 am. Bishop Shelby Hines will officiate.
