Cherie A. Smith, 74, of Medina, NY, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the Medina Memorial Hospital. Born on December 30, 1943, in Lockport, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Viola (Seefeldt) Hubbert. Cherie loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, baking and knitting. Cherie retired from BMP America and was a member of the Alabama Full Gospel Fellowship, Western Orleans Senior Citizens and a former member of the Ridgeway Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Cherie is survived by her children, Bernard Helsdon of Lyndonville, NY, Ronald (Karen) Helsdon of Lockport, NY, Roger Helsdon of Medina, NY, Cheryl Helsdon of Niagara Falls, NY, Missy Ann Armstrong of Fort Myers, FL, William Helsdon of Green Bay, WI, Jennifer (Jason) Wannike of Kings Mountain, NC, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, siblings, Joyce (David) Frasier of Gasport, NY, Darlene Oudette of Lockport, NY, Douglas (Debbie) Hubbert of Newfane, NY, many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by many brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends may call on Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, from 5 PM- 7 PM at the Alabama Full Gospel Fellowship, 5329 S. Gravel Rd. Medina, NY 14103, where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM with the Pastor, Rev. Russell Peters officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made in Cherie’s name to: American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Pkwy, Amherst, NY, 14228.
