I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” II Timothy 4: 6-8 Mrs. Aline Moses was born on October 17, 1947 in Florence, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the last Foster Muldrow and Leona Brooks. She departed this earthly life on Friday, September 28, 2018 in a local hospital after an illness. Aline attended the public schools of Florence County. She was formerly employed for over 20 years with La-Z-Boy Manufacturing, from which she retired. At an early age, she joined Goodland African Methodist Episcopal Church in Effingham, South Carolina. Aline was preceded in by her husband, Melvin “Poppa” Moses, Sr.; and two sisters, Josie McCullum and Gretha Campbell. Those left to cherish her memories include: her children: Melvin (Denise) Moses, Sr. of Greenwood, SC; Anthony (Betty) Moses of Effingham, SC; Jeremiah (Tabatha) Moses of Florence, SC; Chuckie (Yolanda) Moses of New Jersey; Allen Moses of Florence, SC; Demetrius Moses of Columbia, SC; and Sharell Moses of Florence, SC; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grands; three sisters: Joyce McElveen, Eileen Singletary and Diana Edwards Butler Hunter; one brother, Vance Brooks; and a host of other relatives and friends.
