Albert “Al” Michael Coletta, 84, Rockford, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018, in his home. He was born February 7, 1934, in Rockford, the son of Joseph and Anna (Zambrowski) Coletta. Al was a graduate of St. Thomas Catholic High School and was an Army veteran. Al married Mary Jane Leber on October 11, 1954, and she passed away in Rockford on April 9, 2012. Survived by his sons, Michael (Shoukoh) Coletta of Lake Forest, CA, Mark Coletta of Monroe, WI, and Matthew (Sharon Slartman) Coletta of Rockford; his grandchildren, Alicia Adams, Albert Coletta and Alex (Dolly Whitman) Coletta; his 5 great-grandchildren with another arriving soon. Predeceased by his wife Mary Jane, his daughter, Judy Allard, his grandson Joey, and his daughter-in-law, Mary Sherbinski-Coletta. Per Al’s wishes, the services will be private with entombment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
