Adine Marie Gebhart Link Ralston (Dean), age 95 of Winchester, Tennessee passed away peacefully at home on October 15, 2018. She was born on March 15, 1923, to Frank and Ada Gebhart in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Link, in 1945, her husband of 66 years, Robert Eugene Ralston, and siblings Gerald, Roscoe, Audrey, Camilla, and Mildred. She is survived by her three sons, Robert Fred Ralston (Veronica Rupert), Frank Michael Ralston (Elaine Patricco), and Scott Alan Ralston (Faye Shores), three grandchildren, Robert, Kelly, and Kevin Ralston and three step-grandchildren, Randy (Jennifer) Prince, Melanie Prince Chipman, and Shannon Prince (Martin) Stephens, one great-grandchild Aiden Ralston, step great-grandchildren Brittany and Brandon Prince and Evan and Kinsley Chipman, and her much loved cat Max. Dean graduated from Fort Wayne High School in the year 1941 where she played on the basketball team and was Senior Prom Queen. She was a war bride, who went to work for General Electric in Fort Wayne as a “burr girl” working on GE aircraft engines while her husband Fred served in the Army. She mourned his wartime loss lifelong. Dean was a housewife who loved her family and looked after them fiercely. She was an avid gardener who loved her flowers; she enjoyed flea market shopping and collecting, particularly Hummel figurines (“You can never have too many friends”). Private cremation was conducted by Watson-North Funeral Home. Interment will be in the family plot at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos, Ohio at a later date.
