Obituary for Vern William Kivel Sr. Vern William “Willie” Kivel Sr, was born on February 25, 1928 in Port Huron, Michigan. He passed away in Orlando, Florida on August 27, 2018. He is predeceased by his wife, Alice Joanne Kivel; Survived by his sons Vern William Kivel Jr. (Lisa), Robert Charles Kivel (Tracy); Daughter Shelley Sue Kaercher (Evane “Chip”); Grandsons Austin Jarrett Kaercher and Colin Dale Kaercher; as well as many loving family members and many dear friends. Willie will not be remembered as a 90 year old who had reached the end of his journey, but as the 90 year old who remained independent until the day he was admitted to the hospital. Never forgotten. Always loved. A celebration of life will be held at one of the Veterans’ National Cemeteries at a later date to be determined. Please check back to this website often for updates.
