Ruth M. (Jeffrey) Cook, 92, passed away September 15, 2018 at Overlook Nursing Home, Pascoag. She was the widow of Ralph J. Cook, who she married May 17, 1947. Born in Pascoag, June 20, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Jeffrey and Hilda (Barker) Jeffrey. She graduated from Burrillville High School in 1944 and from Edgewood Secretarial School in 1945. She was a member of the Advent Christian Church of North Scituate. She is survived by a sister Lois Hartley of Peacedale, a daughter Barbara Scalise and her husband Bill of Pomfret, CT, a son David Cook and his wife Arlene of Wilkes Barre, PA, a son James Cook of Pascoag, a daughter Cheryl McCall and her husband Donald of Pascoag, a daughter Sandra Gravel and her husband Paul of Pascoag, 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 10 to 11 AM followed by a funeral service at the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag. Burial will follow at Pascoag Cemetery, Main St., Pascoag. At the request of the family, PLEASE NO FLOWERS. In lieu of flowers or donations, please spend time with your family, read a good book or take a walk and enjoy nature.
