Obituary for Raymond Johnson Raymond R. Johnson, 78, of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 in the emergency room at the Chambersburg Hospital. He was born November 21, 1939 in Newville, PA. Raymond was a son of the late Lewis and Viola Hamilton Johnson. He was a self-employed paver and years ago worked construction. Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Judith A. McFern Johnson who passed away May 9, 2007. One sister, Jean Monn and one brother, Lee Johnson are also deceased. Raymond is survived by two sons, Owen R. and David A. Johnson, two daughters, Tammy S. Varner and Tamara Varner and her companion Tony Shew all of Shippensburg, two brothers, Marlin Johnson and his wife Donna of Chambersburg and Roy Johnson of Newville, three sisters, Gloria Rosenberry of Shippensburg, Donna Shahan of Harrisburg and Lois Rayski and her husband Roger of Williamsport, MD, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev. Harold E. Yeager. Burial will be in the Air Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Tuesday morning one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
