Obituary for Margaret (Eubank) Ennis Margaret (Eubank) Ennis, 84, passed away August 31, 2018. Marge was born August 25, 1934, in New Orleans, LA, to the late Lula and Frank Eubank. Marge attended Business College and made her career as a bookkeeper. She worked for WFIE TV Channel 14, WEHT TV Channel 7, Oswald and Associates and retired from Fashion Carpets. She is a former member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and a current member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Marge volunteered for nearly 20 years for the Evansville State Hospital’s patient Friend-to-Friend program. She was a member of St. Mary’s (now St. Vincent) Hospital Auxiliary, and honorary members of the St. Mary School of Nursing Alumnae. Marge also was a long-time member of the Evansville Firemen’s Auxiliary. Due to her father’s work-related death during the Depression, Marge and her siblings were raised in the Masonic Home of Alexandria, LA, where she stayed until she was in Business College and married. During her younger years, Marge lived for a time in Italy, Taiwan and Florida. She enjoyed family time, traveling on bus tours with her husband Bob and was a wonderful cook. Marge was very active in her grandchildren’s lives by attending many sports activities, music performances and birthday parties. Thanksgiving and Christmas where always a time for family food and a ton of fun. She was affectionally called Mama by her grandchildren. Her parents and brother, Frank Eubank preceded her in death. Marge is survived by her husband of 47 years Robert “Bob” Ennis; her children Cindi Gehlhausen, of Evansville; Kathy (Ken) Shepherd, of Gahanna, OH; Kathy (Sam) Mamula of Fairfield, OH; Karin (Tom) Overfield of Surprise, Arizona; Bobbie (Dave) Langas of Oxford, MI; Steve (Cheri) Warren of Hardy, VA; and Michael (Ann) Ennis of Evansville, IN and Denise Warren of Elberta, AL and 16 grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren and 3 great-great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Edward Eubank, sisters, Brenda Hernandez, Amy Mahoney and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 First Avenue, Evansville where a Memorial Service will begin at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 9:30-10:00 am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2301 N Stockwell Rd, Evansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Ted Temple at 10:00 am at the church with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.
