Louis W. Dusenberry, age 73, of Louisburg, Ks, died Friday, August 31, 2018 at his home. Visitation will be 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Dengel & Son Louisburg Chapel. Memorial service to follow at 5:00 p.m. at the chapel. Louis was born in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of James Louie Dusenberry and Maxine (Barber) Dusenberry, Louis and Joann raised their son, Louis and lived their married lives in Louisburg, Kansas. Louis graduated from Louisburg High… Read More » School in 1963. He retired from a long career at Shawnee Mission School District in 2009. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Louis could often be found outside in his garden with his ball cap on or in the backyard with his dogs. He also enjoyed taking camping trips during the summer with his family and seeing the sites in Branson. Louis loved his grandkids fiercely and was very involved in their lives. Louis was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. He leaves his wife of 41 years, Joann (Martin) Dusenberry; his son, Louis R. Dusenberry and wife, Melissa Dusenberry; his grandsons, Jacob Dusenberry and Nick Dusenberry. Louis had a huge heart and was willing to help anyone, anytime they needed it. His family and friends were blessed with his kindness and generosity and he will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
