OBITUARY Jesse Sangster Sr. February 6, 1947 – August 30, 2018 Jesse Sangster, Sr., 71, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 in Fort Smith. He was born February 6, 1947 in Crawford County to the late James and Goldie Sangster. He was a retired railroad engineer with Union-Pacific, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the Alma Masonic Lodge #735, loved riding his Harley, and drove racecars at Crawford County Speedway. He is survived by his wife, Patty Sangster of the home; a daughter, Christy Bell and husband Chris of Fort Smith; two sons, Jesse Sangster, Jr. of Fayetteville, and Michael “Bubba” Cumpton and wife Amy of Fort Smith; a sister, Lottie Porter of Dyer; and three grandchildren, Christopher Bell, Cortney Bell, and Kylie Bell. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. Pallbearers will be Chris Belt, John Harriman, Donny Kilgore, Scott Sangster, Justin Sangster, and Robert Sangster. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Regulators Motorcycle Club.
