Jamie Godfrey Milam, 33, of Spanish Fort, AL passed away. Peacefully in her home on Monday, September 24th, 2018 Jamie victoriously defeated her cancer battle of over 4 years. A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 30th, 2018 at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel at 3:00 pm with visitation starting at 1:00 pm. Kevin Smith will officiate. Jamie was a 2003 graduate of Glencoe High School and a graduate of Auburn University with a Master’s Degree of Science in 2008. She was employed by the City of Spanish Fort as the Director of the Senior Center. Jamie was given much joy by the citizens she was able to interact with during that time. Jamie was preceded in death by her father Ted Godfrey, Grandfather’s James Godfrey and Dr. M.G. Lett. Survived by husband Rob Milam, mother Judy Godfrey, sister Brandi (Marty) Cothran, grandmother Dorothy Godfrey, uncles Kenneth (Gail), Gary (Angela), Ed (Sharron) Lett, Joe (Tracy) Godfrey, mother and father-in-law Deb and Joe Milam, brother-in-law Tim (Amy) Milam. As a part of remembrance, we are beginning a foundation to the education of the HPV vaccination to prevent OBGYN cancer.
