Obituary for Mr. Jack Douglas Kessler Brooklet, GA Mr. Jack Douglas Kessler, age 75, died on August 31, 2018 at his residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. Mr. Kessler was born in Dayton, Ohio, and spent his childhood in Cameron Missouri. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in the Vietnam War. He obtained an associate’s degree from Longview Community College in Lee’s Summit Missouri. He was retired from General Motors Corporation after 28 years as an electrician. Mr. Kessler was a member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association in Kansas City, MO and the VFW in Lee Summit, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack Presley Rawlings and Eleanor Hileman. Surviving is his wife of 35 years ( companions for 46 years) Theresa Aquino-Kessler of Brooklet; two sons and daughters-in-law J.R. Kessler and Mollie Ruf of Salisbury, NC and Tully and Lori Kessler of Gretna Nebraska; two granddaughters Allison Kessler and Abby Kessler also survive. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.
