OBITUARY Italo Lanzi February 3, 1927 – September 9, 2018 Italo Lanzi, age 91, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018 in Waterview Villa Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Anne Marie (Vitullo) Lanzi and the late Rose (Villella) Lanzi. Born in Providence a son of the late Edwardo and Maria (Cafaro) Lanzi he was a longtime resident of Rumford, RI before moving to Riverside. A veteran of the United States Navy he served as a Seaman First Class during WWII. A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Jewelry Design He was a musician and skilled in playing the drums. He is survived by his two sons, Edward S. Lanzi and his wife Myra of Seekonk, MA and Daniel T. Thielman of Newport; two daughters, Madeline Prout of Florida and Rosemary Florenzano and her husband Frank of Barrington; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Alexander “Sandy” Lanzi and Enrico “Rico” Lanzi. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 10 AM in St. Alexander’s Church, 221 Main Street, Warren followed by burial in St. Alexander’s Cemetery, Warren.
