Funeral service for Gary Glenn Porter, 38, of Gilmer, TX, will be held Monday, September 3, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Aaron Parks officiating. Interment will follow at Enon Cemetery. Gary passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 in. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 2, 2018 from 3:00 until 5:00 pm. Gary was born at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier Parish, LA on July 16, 1980 to Charles and Teresa (Jones) Porter… Read More » and was a 1999 graduate of Harmony High School. He worked as a delivery driver for many years and he enjoyed spending time swimming. Gary also attended New Beginnings Church in Gilmer. Mr. Porter will be greatly missed by friends and family members. Gary is survived by his parents; girlfriend, Amada Austin of Gilmer; sons, Michael Anthony Porter and Jesse Brewer both of Gilmer; daughters, Stormy May Porter, Zoey Nicole Porter and Nivea McCullar all of Gilmer; brothers, Brian Lee Porter and wife, Christina of Colorado, Kevin Lynn Porter and wife Len of California; sister Cheryl Blynn Porter and Fiancé, Kenneth McCoy of Gilmer; grandparents, Neta Lee Porter of Gilmer, and Sam Walton and Patsy Jane Jones of Gilmer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
