Ernest Ernie Faiola 2018

Ernest Faiola 94, formerly of Warwick, passed away on September 8, 2018 at Alpine Nursing Home, Coventry. He was predeceased by his wife Lillian Faiola. Born in Providence a son of the late Francesco and Assunta (Rinaldi) Faiola. Ernie served our country in the Navy during World War II. He was an avid sports fan and advocate for the elderly. His true passion was his involvement with the Elks. He was the State Veteran’s Chairman for over 35 years, Past State President and Past District Deputy for BPOE. Ernie will be remembered for his quick wit and his love to talk politics or just about anything else. He read the newspaper from cover to cover daily so he could keep up on the news. He was employed by Uniroyal and had been retired for over 40 years. He was the brother of Ann Taraborelli , Muffalda Johnson and the late Gloria Rendine, Louis Faiola, Jerry Faiola and Frankie Faiola. He is the uncle of many nieces and nephews and the step-father of James Vesey. His funeral service is Friday September 14, 2018 at 11 am. in ‘’WOODLAWN’’ Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Ave. Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be in Rhode Island Veteran’s Cemetery. VISITATION FRIDAY MORNING from 9 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Ernie’s name will be used to benefit the veteran and youth of our State. R.I.
