OBITUARY Ernest W. Graf August 13, 1932 – August 31, 2018 It is with great sadness we mourn the loss of Ernest W. Graf on August 31, 2018 at the age of 86. He was born on August 13, 1932 in Yonkers NY, son of the late John and Anna Caro Graf. He met and married Kathryn Fleming on June 22, 1957. Kay predeceased him in June 2016. Ernie was a devoted father of Robert Graf, Jennifer (Robert) Jensen and Lisa (Robin) Graf and a loving grandfather to Robert, Zachary and Emily Graf; Deanna, Michael and Danielle Jensen and David, Evan and Collin Graf; and his Great Granddaughter Charlotte. In 1951 Ernie enlisted in the Navy and served on the USS Cascade where he met his best friend Ed Bopp, the two remained close for 70 years. Ernie was a proud member of The Eastchester Police Department from 1964 until his retirement in 1992 and was probably best known by many as MILL ROAD ERNIE walking the post on Mill Road and then later Chester Heights. Ernie was a loyal and devoted friend and will be missed by all who knew him. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 4, 2018 at the Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home 824 Scarsdale Ave Scarsdale NY at 10:30AM. Interment will follow at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla. Visitation will be on Monday September 3, 2018 from 3-8PM.In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Hospice & Palliative Care of Westchester 311 North Street, Suite 204 White Plains NY 10605 preferred.
