Dr. Donald E. Clark, 81 of Springfield, died Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Heritage Health Hospice. He was born December 24, 1936 in Watertown, SD, to Eldon and Bertha (Brandon) Clark. He married Marlene Williams on February 26, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Marlene of Springfield; one daughter, Deborah Clark of Tupelo, MS; one granddaughter, Amanda Clark and one brother, Roger E. (Brenda) Clark of San Francisco, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Beverly; one son, David and one sister, Marlys Clark. Dr. Clark was a US Army Veteran. He worked as a nuclear physicist consultant. Visitation: 1:00 – 3:00 pm, Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. Funeral Service: 3:00 pm, Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Reverend Nicole Cox officiating and where military honors will be provided. Burial will be a later date at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown, SD. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association. Springfield arrangements are handled by the Staab Funeral Home.
