Obituary for DeWayne E. “Wino” Polacek Dewayne E. “Wino” Polacek, 58, of Red Bud, Illinois, died August 29th, 2018, at his home. He was born April 11th, 1960, in Red Bud, Illinois. He is survived by his wife of almost 39 years, Lynette Polacek, nee Banks. They were married on September 8th, 1979. He is also survived by his father and step-mother, Robert B. Polacek and Polly Ann (Mack) Polacek; his siblings, Donald (Mary Lou) Polacek, Larry (Lori) Polacek, Keith Polacek, Angela ( Kenneth Kettler) Polacek, Teresa Witt, Christine (Johnny) Pfeffer, Floyd (Susan) Nottmeier, Michelle Auger, and Melissa (Brad) Duren; his sister-in-law, Delaine (Larry Traituer) Banks; an aunt, an uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews, and friends. DeWayne was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Patsy Jean Nottmeier, nee Pickering, and Leland Nottmeier; his sister, Linda D. Davis, and his brother, Edward A. Polacek; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rose F. Banks, nee Meyer and Donald J. Banks. DeWayne was in the Waterloo High School class of 1978. He previously worked for St. Clement’s Hospital, H.B. Russell Trucking, Warrior Building Products, and had owned Wino’s Tavern. DeWayne’s wish was to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Floraville Grange, on September 15th, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of DeWayne E. “Wino” Polacek please visit our Sympathy Store.
