Obituary for Mr. David Samuel Smith Graveside services for Mr. David Samuel Smith, 75, of Tatum, will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018 at Harris Chapel Cemetery in Panola County, with Carrie Merritt officiating. Mr. Smith passed away at his residence on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018. He was born March 20, 1943 to the late Elmer Lee and Marion (Vise) Smith in Henderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hannah Merritt. Survivors include: daughter, Carrie Merritt and husband Scott of Window Rock, AZ; brothers, Paul Smith of Tatum, and Ken Smith of Arlington; four grandchildren, Cody, Troy, Kaydee, and Veronica; nieces, Paula Bishop and husband Jimmy of Tatum, and Kim Denton of Lindale; and nephews, Danny Smith of Tatum, and Ken Smith of Great Falls, MT.
