Daniel Vargas March 24 1956 September 6 2018

Obituary for Daniel Vargas Daniel Vargas, a beloved son, brother, uncle, great uncle, godfather and friend too many, left this world and went to his eternal home on September 6, 2018. He fought hard in the final months of life but is now celebrating with our Lord finally experiencing that special day of eternal life. Dan was born on March 24, 1956 in the Bronx, NY to our adoring parents Amador and Ramona Vargas. He had a passion for all sports. He especially loved baseball. The Texas Rangers and New York Mets were his favorite teams. He had a wealth of knowledge of all baseball stats right off the top of his head. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan as he was of Texas Tech. He loved spending time and making memories with family and friends. He enjoyed listening to all types of music. He was a loyal friend to so many and would never thought twice about lending a helping hand whenever someone asked or was in need. All these will be treasured memories of Dan. Dan is survived by his sister Diana Vargas Barr, her husband William (Bill) K. Barr and their three children; Christopher Kenneth Barr, Stephen Matthew Barr (godson and nephew) and Katherine Jeannette Barr (goddaughter and niece) (whom he would say they were like his own) of McKinney, Texas. He is also survived by his nieces and their families; niece Barbara Jo Rodriguez Saul, husband Douglas Saul of and their children Garrett Saul (Godson and great nephew, his wife Andrea and their children; (great-great niece and nephews) Irena, Theodore and Quinton of Grand Rapids Michigan, Tristen Saul (great nephew) and Elizabeth Saul (great niece) of Charlotte North Carolina. Claudia Jean Rodriguez Montanari, husband Patrick Montanari and sons Justin Montanari and Gabriel Montanari (great nephew) of Frisco, TX. Dan is also survived by his aunt Rosaura Vargas, cousins Elizabeth Olivo and, Juan Olivo and wife Eva Olivo and their children Johnathan and wife Kimberly and children Gabriella, Alexander, and Lisette Olivo; uncle Silverio Vargas, and many cousins; Wilma Vargas, Walter Vargas and children; Waldemar and Eliza, Wilfredo Vargas and sons Wil and Bryan, William Vargas and sons William Jr. and Michael, Alice Vargas and children Rosa, Hector and Raul, Armando Vargas and his children Daniel, Joseph, Lisa and Armando Jr., Gladys Vargas and children Antonio, Abigail and Amanda, Lourdes Vargas and children Adriana and Alyson of New Holland PA, Sandra Vargas and children Steven, Stephanie, Jeffrey and Joseph of the Bronx NY. He will forever live in our hearts and each time we watch a Rangers, Cowboy or Texas Tech game, we will remember his love of the sports. The moment that you died our hearts were torn in two, one side filled with heartache, the other died with you. We often lie awake at night, when the world is fast asleep, and take a walk down memory lane, with tears upon our cheeks. Remembering you is easy, we will do it every day, but missing you is a heartache that will never go away. We will hold you tightly within our hearts and there you will remain, until the joyous day arrives, that we will meet again. We love you always and forever!
