Claire was born August 20, 1939 to Gustaf and Elise Abrahamson in Torrington, Connecticut. Claire was married to Robert E. Gehrett of Lakewood for 56 years, and had two children: Lynn and Robyn, and four grandchildren. She held a position as a Secretary for the Department of the Interior.
