Chester Francis Brown Charlie 2018

Passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018. Age 74 years. The son of the late Elizabeth (Schmidt) and Harold Francis Brown was born May 13, 1944 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Nancy Lee Gilbert, March 6, 1965. She survives him. Charlie graduated from Arthur Hill High School, Class of 1962. He retired with 38 years of service with General Motors at Grey Iron Foundry, Central Foundry and G.M. Power Train in Pontiac. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Charlie enjoyed golf, caring for his yard and flowers, Karaoke and music, especially the Blues and was a member of the Detroit Blues Club. Surviving besides his wife, Nancy, are a son, a daughter and their spouses, Steven and Kathleen Brown; Lori and James Holland; five grandchildren, Brittny Bobo; Alexandria and Samantha Brown; Tyler and Brena Holland; two great grandchildren, Zailie and Couper Bobo. A son, Jeffrey Alan Brown has predeceased him. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 27, 2018, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the chapel from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
