Obituary for Charlotte Routh Flynt Northington Charlotte Routh Flynt Northington, age eighty-nine, of Dallas, TX, went to be with the Lord on September 25,2018. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 Friday, September 28, 2018 at Prestonwood Baptist Church Chapel, 6801 W. Park Blvd. Plano, TX. Charles Hebert of Prestonwood Baptist Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held on the same day before the service from 11:00 am until noon at Gateway Funeral Home, 17390 Preston Rd., Dallas, Texas. Burial will be at 1:30 Saturday, Sept 29, 2018 at Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger, TX. Charlotte was born in Big Spring, TX on February 9,1929. She graduated from Ballinger High School and attended Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX. Charlotte was married to Lanham Flynt on July 4, 1950; they had been married for forty- seven years when Lanham went to be with the Lord on December 5, 1997. Charlotte worked as a real estate agent for Flynt Reality in North Dallas and other agencies for almost thirty years and received numerous awards for her outstanding performance in selling and listing. She was an original member of Prestonwood Baptist Church and involved in the Agape Class. Charlotte was an active member and speaker for Christian Women’s Club. She also coordinated and led Friendship Bible coffee groups. As a very creative cook, she loved entertaining friends and family in her home. On September 1, 2003 Charlotte married her childhood friend, Robert Northington after they had both lost their spouses. They spent their later years in life traveling and enjoying each other’s company. Charlotte is survived by her husband Robert Northington of Dallas; daughters Karan Thetford and husband Rick of Graham, TX; Kathy Clements of McKinney, TX; Lana Kovner and husband Gary of Bell Canyon, CA; granddaughters Tricia Stone and husband Ed of Justin, TX; Tonya Schweighofer and husband Joe of Justin, TX; Angela Hudson and husband Shannon of Austin, TX; Kristel Francesconi and husband Michael of Los Angeles, CA; grandsons Adam Clements and wife Alison of Frisco, TX; Trent Thetford and wife Kristina of Graham, TX; Russell Kovner and wife Danielle of Simi Valley, CA; great granddaughters Avery Clements of Frisco, TX; Katie Schweighofer of Justin, TX; great grandsons Zack Stone and wife Brooke of Rowlett, TX; Jake Stone and wife Lindsay of Ft. Worth, TX; Matthew Stone of Justin, TX; Caden Schweighofer of Justin, TX; Timothy and Travis Thetford of Graham, TX; Sawyer Hudson of Austin, TX ; Anderson and Aden Clements of Frisco, TX; great-great grandson Nickolas Stone of Ft Worth, TX and other family and friends. Charlotte is preceded in death by husband Lanham Flynt; mother Nettie Routh Miller; father Charles Miller Jr.; brother Charles Miller III; sisters Louise Miller and Arlene Johnson, and son-in-law Mike Clements.
