Carol Joy Coates 2018

Carol J. (Lang) Coates, 68, a life-long Warwick resident passed away at home on Monday, September 17, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late James F. Lang and Mildred B. (Gifford) Johnston and the late Thomas Johnston. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family. She leaves her three children, Lori Authelet, Sheri Coates, and Edgar Coates all of Warwick; her grandchildren, Michael Coates and Candace Mazzarelli, Stephen Authelet, Lesa Hewitt, and her sidekick/best buddy Jacob Coates who meant the world to her. She was the long-time companion of Eric Lefebvre. Carol was the sister of Gary Lang, Justin Lang, Kimberly Johnston, Margaret Edwards, Ann Milner, Thomas Johnston, Richard Johnston and the late Stephen Lang, Rebecca Lang, Paula Johnston, and Robert Johnston. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren, Davian, Rylan, and Ava. Carol had a large extended family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins that meant so much to her. Visitation Monday, September 24, 2018 from 9-11am, with a service to follow at 11am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to an educational fund for her grandson Jacob Coates (c/o Sheri Coates) will be appreciated.
