Obituary for Butch Cochran Butch Cochran, 74 of Poca passed away on Wednesday August 29, 2018 at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Dale Cochran Sr. and Catherine Cochran Westfall. Butch retired from West Virginia American Water after 26 years of service. When his sons were young, he enjoyed taking them hunting and fishing. His greatest passion was competing in car shows with his 1946 Chevrolet truck. Butch, along with help from his son, Mark restored the truck and won many awards over the years. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sonia Cochran; sons, Matt Cochran and Mark Cochran (Momo); grandchildren, Kodi, Tanner and Samantha and sister, Inez Painter. A private family service will be held at a later date. Entombment will be in Haven of Rest Memory Gardens, Red House.
