Obituary of Bruce Brown Bruce Brown, 51, unexpectedly left this earth too soon on September 3, 2018 at his home in DeLand, Florida. The family will greet friends from 2:00pm to 3:00pm and we will celebrate his life this Friday, Sept. 7 at Lankford Funeral Home 220 East New York Ave DeLand at 3pm. Bruce was born 20th of March 1967 in Nashville, TN to Bill and Beth Brown. He was the fourth of their six children, Billy, Anne, Fred, Katie and Chris. He was proud to call Huffman, Texas his hometown and graduated Hargrave High School in 1985. He married Lorie Bailey Brown on August 7th 1993 in Savannah, GA. They raised 2 daughters together, Caroline and Rachel Brown, his pride and joy. He enjoyed taking his dog, Boudreaux to Barkley Square with a crossword and boating around Lake Beresford looking for wildlife. He also enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Bruce will join his brother, Billy and Sister-in-law, Jamie in heaven, as well as his grandparents William and Ann Brew and Ferdinand and Catherine Brown. Memories may be shared at www.lankfordfuneralhome.com. The family requested memorial donations to be directed to Journey’s End , 1899 Mercers Fernery Road, DeLand, FL 32720 in his memory.
