Zelma “Sally” Morgan Hanson, 98, of Hattiesburg, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Provision Living in Hattiesburg. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Hattiesburg, MS with a visitation one hour prior to service time. Mrs. Hanson was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She graduated from Antigo High School in 1938, the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1951 and a Master’s Degree in 1967.… Read More » She retired in January 1985 after 40 years of teaching in the Wisconsin Public School System. She was a member of the Wisconsin Education Association, Wisconsin Retired Educators, National Education Association, Hattiesburg Lions Club, AARP Board and Tax Counselor, ADP Retirement Connector, OLLI, and the Southern Miss Eagle Club and Wings. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Ervin B. Hanson and her daughter, Constance Hamm. She is survived by one grandson, Heath (Audrey) Hamm of Gadsden, AL; two great-grandchildren, Annsleigh and Hunter Hamm; and one son-in-law, Harvey Hamm of Hattiesburg, MS.
