Obituary for William Lightbody Jr. WILLIAM R. LIGHTBODY, JR. December 13, 1962 – August 16, 2018 Rock Tavern, NY William R. Lightbody, Jr., of Rock Tavern, NY entered into eternal rest on August 16, 2018 at his residence. He was 55 years old. The son of the late William R. Lightbody, Sr. and Dorothy (McIntyre) Lightbody, William was born on December 13, 1962 in Mount Vernon, NY. William was a long serving employee of Tyco/ADT where he sacrificed a lot to provide for his family. His hard work was never underappreciated by his close friends and colleagues. William honorably and proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army from 1983 to1986. A family statement reads: “Our father was a great man and role model. The impact he had on our lives is unmeasurable.” He will be missed greatly. William is survived by his sons: Andrew J. Lightbody, Carlos E. Lopez, Jr. and Ray Delfi; his daughter: Alliana M. Lightbody. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 25th at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY. Interment of cremains will take place at Orange County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Goshen, NY at a later date.
