William P Schmitt Jr March 8 1938 July 28 2018 (age 80)

William P Schmitt Jr, 80, of Torrington, passed away Saturday, July 28th, at Hartford Hospital. Born in Torrington, CT on March 8, 1938, he was a son of the late Amelia (Mitchel) and William P Schmitt, Sr He served two terms in the Army National Guard and was employed by Timex for many years. He played softball for several years in Torrington and was a long time member of Sky Top Bowling Leagues. He is survived by his son William Schmitt III of Torrington and a sister Carol Bottass and husband Raymond of Torrington and brother Eugene Schmitt and wife Joann of Winsted, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Ronald and Robert Schmitt. Funeral Services will be held at Saint Francis Church Friday August 3 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at new Saint Francis Cemetery.
