Todd Anthony Hasting July 19, 1976 – August 24, 2018 South Bend – Todd Anthony Hasting passed away in his home on Friday August 24 2018. He was born on July 19, 1976 to Fred & Linda (Marsh) Hasting, in Knox, Indiana. Todd has been a lifelong resident of Indiana, and employed as welder. On September 19, 2016, Todd was united in marriage to his loving wife Linda “Lyn” Trent Hasting, who survives. He is also survived by his mother Linda Marsh Harshman of Rochester, Indiana; stepson Joshua (Nikki) Hamby of La Porte, Indiana; brother, Fred Hasting Jr. of Plymouth, Indiana, and step granddaughter Scout Ivy Taylor Hamby. Also, Tiffany Pierce and Gabby Pierce, step daughters from previous marriage. He is preceded in death by his father Fred Hasting and his brother Rodney Hasting. Todd was full of life and never took the easy way out. His nickname was Toad. Toad and Lyn met in the early 2000’s, (neither one remember the exact year). The two of them became good friends, shooting pool and hanging out a local bar. Then life happened and they went their separate ways. Fast forward 13-15 years and they meet up again. Their first date was a disaster, him being over and hour late and both of them walking into the wrong movie. But in true Toad and Lyn style they had a blast and made the best of it. That was September 19, 2014. The two of them were never apart after that date. Fast forward a couple of years, Toad and Lyn decided to tie the knot. They did in their Gas Monkey t shirts and jeans, a perfect wedding for those two. Their marriage was a fairy tale one. The two of them were best friends and inseparable. Toad had a knack for electronics and automotive. He took a Harley Davidson power wheel and tricked it out for Scout, it has a headlight, brake lights, progressive gas pedal, reverse switch bluetooth radio and disco lights. Scout absolutely loves it. Toad and Scout became best buds. Toad would walk ahead of Scout and she would follow him. Her “Toddie” could make or fix anything. Mimi, Toddie and Scout had all kinds of adventures with that pink Harley. Toad loved Lyn and Scout with everything he had. His “girls” were his life. Lyn was always by his side right up to the end. They loved each other with passion that isn’t common. They truly were soulmates. No services are planned at this time, Palmer Funeral Home River Park Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed to this family on this webpage.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Todd Anthony Hasting July 19 1976 August 24 2018 (age 42).
