Obituary for: Theodore A. Fiocca North Hill lost one of its finest when Theodore (Ted) Fiocca passed away on July 29, 2018. Born here to Joseph and Anna Fiocca on September 4, 1924, Ted was a lifelong resident of Akron. After graduating from North High School, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps 447th Bomb Squad during World War II. He returned to North Hill and worked at, and eventually retired from, Firestone. After retiring, Ted went on to do volunteer work, tended bar… Read More » at many local weddings, continued to do battle on the area’s golf courses and participated in Kent State’s Senior exercise program. His family and all who knew him will miss the ever-present twinkle in Ted’s eye, his quick wit, and the gentle grace with which he lived his life. Ted is predeceased by his wife, Jean, and is survived by: his daughters Lisa (Joe) and Chris (Bart); his grandchildren Grant and Alexandra; nephews Paul, Joe (Darcy) and Anthony; nieces Ann Marie (Jim), Therese (John), Barbara (Mike), Donna (Chris); and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins, including Thomas and Kathleen Fiocca; and cherished neighbors Ray and Joyce Cherico. Visitation on Friday, August 3rd at 10 am-11:30 am at the Hennessy Bagnoli Moore Funeral Home at 936 N. Main St. in Akron. Funeral service to immediately follow with Fr. Joseph Warner, presiding.
