Richard C. Hargett “Dick”, 77, passed away surrounded by his family on July 29, 2018. He was a long-time resident of Edinburg Township. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Golden and Hazel Hargett. Dick is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mona; daughter, Diane Austin; son, Rick (Alice) Hargett; granddaughter, Ashley; great grandchildren, Christin & J.J. Dick retired in 1985 as Transportation Supervisor from Southeast Local Schools. After his retirement he opened Hargett’s Farm Shop, where he enjoyed working on old tractors and giving advice to those that shared his love of old tractors. In his spare time Dick served more than 20 years as an Edinburg Township Trustee. Dick’s last request was to have a Celebration of his life on the family farm. His wish was for people to come together one last time to reflect on the memories of restoring tractors. Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday 8, 2018 at the Hargett Farm, 7922 Giddings Rd, Edinburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to New Testament Baptist Church, 3583 St. Rt. 59, Ravenna, Oh 44266.
