Obituary for Ralph “Bud” Huffman Ralph “Bud” H. Huffman, age 94, died Sunday September 3, 2017 at the Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital in Charlotte. Bud was born November 29, 1922 in Memphis, Michigan to George and Iva Mae (Rix) Huffman. Bud married the former Barbara Lawton on June 15, 1946. Bud came to Battle Creek in 1958 and had been employed by Michigan Woodworking Specialties of Battle Creek as a cabinet maker, retiring in 1984, and also served as a supply Minister with the Church of the Nazarene. Bud enjoyed making greeting cards, woodworking, making toys and doll houses, Jigsaw puzzles, listening to Gospel Music and watching sports, especially the University of Michigan and the Detroit Tigers. Bud is survived by a daughter, Donna Huffman of Battle Creek, a son, David (Pam) Huffman of Charlotte, MI, daughter in law Sally Huffman of Battle Creek, five grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, a sister, Grace (William) Hall of Chelsea, MI. Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, a son, Richard Huffman, grandsons, Robert and Nate Huffman, a brother, George Huffman. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00AM Thursday at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
