Paul William Kossart, 65, of Peru, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 29, 2018 at his home. A prayer service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, Peru with Rev. Jacob Rose, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Webster Park. (Brandt) Kossart. He married Celine M. Lemrise on July 20, 1974 at St. Maurice Church, Chicago. He earned his associates degree in applied science from Illinois Valley Community College. He worked in television production at TV35 All American Network in Ottawa. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Peru. He was a model hobby railroader and a long-time member of LS&BC Model Railroad Association, Academy of Model Aeronautics and the Burlington Historical Society. He is survived by his wife, Celine of Peru; two daughters, Emilie (Jason) Karun of Bloomington and Anne (Tim) Gress of Peru; six grandchildren, Joey and Gwendolyn Gress and Charlie, Sam, Henry and Vivienne Karun; one brother, David J. (Julie) Kossart of Bridgeview and one sister, Susan Nicholson of Tinley Park. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law, Roy Cunningham and Jim Nicholson. Pallbearers will be Jason Karun, Tim Gress, Dave Kossart, Susan Nicholson, Charlie Karun and Joey Gress. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph’s Church, Peru.
