Patrick P. Mincieli Sr., 88, of Bayonne, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, August 3, 2018. Born in Weehawken, NJ, Patrick resided most of his life in Bayonne. He served his country with pride and honor in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement in 1995, Patrick worked as a mail carrier for the Bayonne Branch of the United States Post Office, a position he held for over 25 years. He was a member of both the American Legion Post #19 and the Royal Arcanum Council #695. Patrick will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his legacy will leave an everlasting impact in their hearts. Patrick was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Domenica (nee: Cassmassini) Mincieli; his son Patrick P. Mincieli Jr.; his sister Grace Mincieli; and his brother Michael Mincieli. Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 63 years, Josephine (nee: Sokolow); his daughter Donna Marie Butto and husband Lawrence (Larry); his sister Ann DelGavio; his brother Anthony Mincieli; his adored grandchildren, Marissa, Ronald, and Amanda-Jo Butto; and many nieces and nephews.
