Obituary for Norman Fay Rodenbaugh Norman Fay Rodenbaugh, 86, of Grand Island passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Service and celebration of Norman’s life will be at 10:00 Saturday at All Faiths Funeral Home officiated by Dan Naranjo. Burial will follow in Grand Island Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Norman was born on March 3, 1932 at Sargent, Nebraska, the son of Elmer and Thelma (Adams) Rodenbaugh. On June 17, 1959 he was married to Caroline Harder in Grand Island where they made their home. Norman was employed by Plumber’s Salvage, Redman’s, and as a mechanic at Schuppans, from which he retired. Norman enjoyed camping and fishing and the family’s many vacations in Colorado. He had converted an old bus into a camper with enough room for all of them. A ‘jack of all trades’ he enjoyed woodworking and mechanic work. Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Caroline; children, Pamela (Ore) Thompson, Marty (Mary Jo) Rodenbaugh, and James Rodenbaugh, all of Grand Island; grandchildren, Ore (Jenny) Thompson, Jeremy (Chelsy) Thompson, Dusty (Jena) Thompson, Brandi (Wes) Jennemann, Casy (Anna) Thompson, Mandy (Jasen) Dimmitt, Marty (Angela) Rodenbaugh, Lisa Rodenbaugh, Jessica (Micah) Stanley, Josh Rodenbaugh, Natasha Rodenbaugh, Darron Sadar and Darick Sadar; sixteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Rodenbaugh, William (Edith) Rodenbaugh and Bud Rodenbaugh; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rodney Rodenbaugh who passed in 1992; brothers, Marlow, Charles and Vernon; and an infant sister, Virginia.
