Minnie Nicole Jones, 46, Carrollton, formerly of Big Spring, died Saturday, July 28, 2018 in Ft. Worth. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, August 3, 2018 at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Hebrew Jones and Walton Stone, officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park. Minnie was born on December 3, 1971 in Big Spring, Texas to Vivian Bledsoe Jones and Hebrew Jones, Jr. She… Read More » grew up in Big Spring and was a 1990 graduate of Big Spring High School. She was very active in choir and Rapsody. She also graduated from the Texas State Tech Institute in Sweetwater. Minnie had worked for Headstart in Big Spring. After moving to Carrollton, she worked at the Denton State School and Irving Independent School District. Minnie grew up in the West Hwy 80 Church of Christ. She was very active in children’s work at church and volunteered at the day care. While living in Carrollton, she attended Carrollton West Church of Christ. Minnie is survived by her parents Vivian and Hebrew Jones of Big Spring; one brother: Bruce Jones (Kimberly) of Midlothian; two sisters: Monique Jones of Arlington and Marquel Hickey (Jolee) of Odessa; five nieces; two nephews; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other family and friends. Minnie was preceded in death by her grandparents: Bessie Lee Anderson, Vivian Bledsoe, Minnie Jones and Hebrew Jones, Jr. Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
