Linda Sue Rumer, 74, of Waynesfield, OH passed away early Monday morning, July 30, 2018 at Lima Memorial Health Systems. Linda was born on August 30, 1943 in Lima, OH, a daughter of the late Galen and Alberta Kurtz Pence. On January 12, 1962, she married Lowell “Stub” Rumer in Waynesfield and he preceded her in death on February 9, 2016. She is survived by a son, Lonnie (Amy) Rumer and a daughter, Lori (Colin) Maxwell, both of Wapakoneta, OH, five grandchildren, Tayla (Galen) Miller,… Read More » Corey and Jaden Maxwell, and Kennedy and Gauge Rumer, a great grandson, Jace Miller, a sister, Nancy (Brian) Randall of Waynesfield, two brothers, Lynn (Joyce) Pence of Lakeview, OH and Terry (Pam) Pence of Kentucky, a special friend, Dick Knoch, and several nieces and nephews. Linda was a 1961 graduate of Waynesfield-Goshen High School. She was a long-time bank teller, retiring from Wilmington National Bank. Linda was a very active member and current President of the Waynesfield-Goshen Alumni Committee and former active member of the Waynesfield-Goshen Band Boosters and Athletic Boosters. She enjoyed bowling and loved and nurtured her children and grandchildren who were a major part of her life. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview. Visitation is Monday, August 6th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Burial is in Willow Branch Cemetery, Waynesfield. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Waynesfield-Goshen Area Community Foundation, 17683 US Rte 117, Waynesfield, OH 45896 or Waynesfield-Goshen Alumni.
