Lillian Maxine Richards 1921 2018

Obituary of Lillian Richards Lillian Maxine Richards, 96, from Camdenton, Missouri went to be with her Lord & Savior on Friday August 3rd at 11:45 p.m. in Warrenton Manor in Warrenton, Missouri. Lillian was born October 28, 1921 in Sikeston, Missouri to Jim & Nora Kirby. She was the youngest of 9. The Kirby’s owned and operated their family restaurant in Sikeston, Missouri where all the locals enjoyed dinning. Lillian enjoyed helping her family with the business, she also found time to volunteer at the public schools as a teacher’s assistant, and also loved sharing her time at the Windsor Estates nursing home in Camdenton upon their return there. Lillian later met Gomer Richards while he was serving in the air force stationed in Sikeston, Missouri. Lillian and Gomer were married on December 18th, 1943 where they then returned to Camdenton, Missouri. The Richards family owned and operated the Reveille Leader newspaper and also had a printing company where Lillian loved to work. On December 18, 2003 the special couple got to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. Survivors included are, Debbie and Randy Burke of Wentzville, Missouri, Gloria and Don Wingate of Columbia Missouri, and Patti Blevens of Pittsburgh Kansas. Also included are several grandchildren and great grandchildren too numerous to mention. Services will be Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 1:00-3:00 pm followed by funeral service at 3:00 pm Interment will follow at Dale Blair Memorial Cemetery in Camdenton.
