Kathleen Ann Bickel 1947 2018

Life Story for Kathleen Bickel Kathleen (Kathy) Ann Bickel, 71, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018 at home in Moreno Valley after suffering several strokes. She was born in Dickinson, North Dakota on June 21, 1947 to Helen Ann Nagle Jorda and Frank R. Jorda. She graduated from St. Vincent Elementary School and Lincoln High School in Mott, ND. After high school she worked in Albion, NY for two years before moving to Riverside, California in 1966. She married Tim Davis and had two children, Geraldine Marie Davis and Gene F. Davis. Her second husband was Jim Bickel. She was employed as a customer service rep at Berkline Furniture for many years and later as a caretaker for several people in Moreno Valley. Kathy loved preparing meals for her family who could always count on good and plentiful food. She also loved her animals and is survived by Baby Girl who was her constant bedside companion during her final days. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and her sister Joan. She is survived by her two children and six grandchildren: Annabelle, Joy, and Aaron Davis; Timothy and Kayla Haggerty; and Hunter Stewart. She is also survived by siblings: Margaret (Norm) Mezey, Beth (Tom) McCullough, Frank (Mona) Jorda, Bernard (Leann) Jorda, and Tom (Arlys) Jorda as well as numerous nieces and nephews and brother-in-law Dale Crooks. Kathy was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church and loved her church family. Services will be held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. The address is 13600 Nason Street, Moreno Valley, CA 92555.
