Obituary for John “Mac” Robinson Please check back to view the tribute video once completed. John D. “Mac” Robinson, 65, of Mifflintown, passed away at 2:24 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born on July 26, 1953 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he was the son of the late Frank A. Jr. and Naomi S. “Numpsy” (Switzer) Robinson. Surviving are a sister, JoEllen “Jody” Satzler and her husband Bret, of Mifflintown; a niece, Meghan Geedey and her husband Aaron a nephew Casey Satzler and his fiancee’ Kelly Roberts; also two great-grandnephews, Caden Geedey, Drew Geedey, and a great niece, Josslyn Geedey, also his longtime companion, Patsy Strawser and her son Jerret Strawser. A brother preceded him in death. He was a 1972 graduate of Juniata High School, Mifflintown and a Presbyterian by faith. His past memberships included: the Board of Directors of the Juniata County Agriculture Society, the American Legion Post No. 298 and the Crawford-Brubaker VFW Post No. 5863, both of Mifflintown. John was self-employed as the owner and operator of Kauffman Motors, Mifflintown and he was involved in various partnerships, such as the Bargain Barn and Fences and More, both of Mifflintown. “Mac” was an avid race fan of the Port Royal Speedway and he enjoyed going with his friends around the country to various dirt track racing venues. There will be no viewing; however family will be receiving friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown. All other services will be private with the Rev. Nancy McClure officiating. Interment will be in the New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal. Memorial contributions in Mr. Robinson’s memory may be made to the Westminster United Presbyterian Church, 208 Lemon St., Mifflintown, PA 17059 or to the Port Royal Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 387, Port Royal, PA 17082.
