Obituary for Joel Doss Sr. Joel Benjamin Doss Sr., 70, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018. Born in Charleston, West Virginia he was the son of the late John Doss and Mary Arbogast. Joel graduated from South Side High School class of 1967 and earned his associates degree as a Mechanic from Ivy Tech. He worked at General Electric for several years, prior to working as a mechanic with S&S Keller until his retirement in 2008. Joel enjoyed fishing, playing poker, video games, and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his numerous nieces and nephews. Surviving are his children Joel (Bonnie) Doss Jr., of Fort Wayne, Matthew (Emily) Doss of Markle, Christopher (Vikki) Doss of Noblesville; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister Patricia (Stan) Keller of Roanoke; brother, John (Carol) Doss Jr. of Indiana; and his former wife and friend Lucinda Roe of Fort Wayne. He is preceded in death by his siblings Dolores Doss, Danny Doss, and Bobby Doss. Service is 1 pm Thursday, August 2, 2018 at FairHaven Funeral Home, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling from 11 am until the service. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
