Jo Ann Irene Taggart, 82, formerly of Mineral Ridge, passed away with her family by her side, Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the Hospice House in Poland. Born February 25, 1936 in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of Harry and Jane (Sullivan) Meyers. She was a 1954 graduate of Mineral Ridge High School. Prior to retiring in 2001, she worked in retail at JCPenny’s and Kaufmans. Jo Ann was a member of a SCOPE, volunteered for CONTAC and Warren General Hospital. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and playing cards. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Ervin E. Taggart Jr., whom she married February 20, 1954; her daughters Karen Taggart and Lisa (Dale) Piergiovanni; and four grandchildren and one great- grandson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Cheryl Eldridge and her grandson Shannon Oliver. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel Sunday, September 2nd, from 1:00- 3:00 PM.
