James Jimmy Franklin Linn September 7 1929 August 28 2018 (age 88)

James Franklin Linn Sr. passed away August 28, 2018 in Mesa, AZ at the age of 88. He was born September 7, 1929, in Bisbee, AZ to S.E. and Nellie McBride Linn. Jimmy married Betty Lou Buff in Bisbee in 1951. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He worked for Phelps Dodge for over 30 years as a blacksmith in Bisbee and Safford. He also worked for Smith and Bell Construction for many years. Jimmy is survived by two sons James (Sherri) and Larry (Teri) Linn along with 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his two daughters Debra Lou Linn and Tina Louise Linn. He was beloved by many other family and friends who loved his quiet smile and willingness to help wherever he could. Services for Jimmy will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Safford Stake Center beginning with a viewing at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Floyd Nuttall conducting. Interment will be in the Safford Cemetery following services.
