Obituary for Howard Emmett Senn Howard E. Senn of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital, Methodist Campus, in Rochester, Minnesota. Howard (Emmet) Senn was born July 31, 1942, to Howard and Marella (Kennedy) Senn of Zelienople, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Zelienople High School in 1960 and then studied at Fenn College in Cleveland, West Penn Technical School in Pittsburgh, and graduated from University of Missouri St. Louis. Howard served in the Pennsylvania and California National Guards from 1965 – 1970. In 1965, Howard went to work for McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) in St. Louis. Howard married Mary Nemmers in 1970 and they had two children, Stephanie and Andrew. During his tenure with Mc Donnell Douglas, Howard was based in Patuxent River, MD; Edwards Air Force Base, Lancaster, CA; Dallas, TX; and Seattle, WA. He retired in 2001 after 35 years. He flunked retirement, and went to work for Eclipse Aviation Corporation in Albuquerque, NM, as a test engineer from 2002-2006. After Albuquerque, Howard and Mary relocated to Fort Collins, Colorado. Howard was an avid fisherman and golfer. He loved camping with his family, fishing trips and golf games with his buddies, and traveling everywhere with Mary. He was a beloved husband, dad, granddad, brother, and friend; and touched many, many lives each and every place he lived, bringing with him kindness, wit, and wise counsel. Howard was preceded in death by his son Andrew (2014). He is survived by his wife, Mary; his daughter, Stephanie (Chad) Carter of Wetmore, Colorado; three grandchildren, Sam, Gabe, and Calvin; his sister Marla (Senn) Billinger, PA; brothers-in-law, Bill Nemmers and Charlie (Judy) Nemmers; sisters-in-law, Virginia Nemmers and Louise Nemmers; 9 nieces and nephews, Cheryl (Jamie Miller ) Billinger, Kathryn Billinger, Adam (Lisa) Nemmers, Bart (Elizabeth) Nemmers, Cecilia (Greg) Lillegard, Dianne (Paul) Hergenrother, Emily (Kevin) Mantooth, Robert Nemmers and Sara Mageli; and 11 great nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on September 28 at the Plymouth United Church of Christ in Fort Collins, Colorado. Visitation will be Thursday, September 27 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
