Helen Cappello 2018

Helen Cappello, 91, a longtime resident of Wyckoff, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 4, 2018. Devoted wife of Guy Cappello to whom she was married for 67 years and beloved mother of Denise Gannalo and Guy Cappello Jr. and his wife Maria. She was predeceased by her sons Robert Cappello and John Cappello. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Kristen Ericson, David Gannalo, John Gannalo, Jeremy Cappello, Alexis Cappello, Gianna Cappello and great grandchildren Sam and Jack Ericson. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was affectionately known as Mrs. C of Carvel of Garfield, where she was a longtime owner and familiar face for many years. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Avenue, Ramsey, NJ 07446. A funeral mass will be celebrated following visitation at 11 AM at St. Paul RC Church, 200 Wyckoff Avenue, Ramsey, NJ. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Helen to The Franciscans St. Anthony’s Guild, Fr. David Convertino, 144 West 32nd Street, New York, NY 10001.
