HELEN LORENA WEAVER, age 91, of Washington CH, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 9:57 p.m. at St. Catherine’s Manor of Washington CH. She was born on February 14, 1927 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to Radar and Lillian Pettit Small. Helen was a homemaker and lived most of her life in Fayette County. She had been a member at the Mount Olive United Methodist Church in Washington CH. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and being with her family and grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence Weaver; and three sisters. Survivors include her children, David (Susan) Weaver of Mecca, Ohio, Tom (Christine) Weaver of Venice, Florida, and Phyllis (Russ) Liston of Washington CH; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and brother, James “Jim” (Kay) Small. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Warren Porter officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
